Cathedral Canyon Nevada

Ya I know I am jumping around a bit with the trip.  This is Cathedral Canyon in Eastern Nevada.  Simply amazing.  The only thing was it got down to 22 degrees in the mini-van at the campground there.  Fun how that will make you really cranky really fast when you wake up.  But I would go back in a second and spend a week in the place.  AMAZING......We had not been here before and was on the way to Bisbee so we stopped for the night.  To one side of the campground was this pathway and we walked down it a little and discovered this landscape of almost being on the moon.  We walked for over 2 miles through these small hills of dried clay on a simple pathway.  The "hills" you see here are quite fragile and chip off easily with your hand.  The canyon is about 1/2 mile wide and as the sun set the landscape took on crisp shadows with the bright lite behind. It was quite except for the wind and birds fresh spring smells.  This was the first stop on our trip where the weather was decent, sunny and perfect warm.
